Air suspension is one of the most sought-after mods by car enthusiasts looking to adjust their suspension at the push of a button. With air suspension systems offering on-the-fly ride height adjustments, these kits are going to provide more functionality when compared to Coilover or spring suspension setups. They will also include more components, which means you can pay much more for an air suspension system. How much does an air suspension cost? Today, we break down the cost of an AccuAir suspension kit to give you a better idea of what you can expect to pay.
Average Price Of An Air Bag Suspension Kit
The average price of an airbag suspension kit can cost anywhere between $1,000 up $5,000+ depending on your specific kit. Many factors will influence the overall cost of your system, such as:
Type Of Vehicle
Complete Kit Vs. Pieced Together Kit
Part Quality
DIY Install Vs. Professional Install
When pricing out your air suspension kit, there are ways to cut costs vs. buying a complete kit. You can also save money by installing the kit yourself if you feel confident enough with the installation.
How Much Do Air Suspension Parts Cost?
Now that we have looked at how much a complete air suspension kit can cost let's look at how much each component costs.
Additional Upgrade Costs
When building an air suspension system, you can do a few additional upgrades to make your air suspension stand out and become easier to use. While these are not needed for a basic air suspension install, they are great for upgrading your system later down the road.

Installation Costs
The most significant expense of an air suspension system can come from the installation costs if you choose to go with a professional install. While many car enthusiasts can get the job done by themselves, it is highly suggested to have your air suspension installed professionally.
The average cost for an air suspension system can range from $500 to $2,000+, depending on your vehicle and location. For those simply having air suspension helper springs added to their truck, you can expect to be on the lower end of the cost spectrum. For those who need an entire front and rear retrofit, you can expect to pay upwards of $1,000-$3,000 for your installation.

We'll get this one out of the way right off the bat. Yes, air suspension is typically a bit more expensive than a coilover setup and quite a lot more than lowering springs. Don't let that deter you from picking up a kit though. Air suspension gives you functionality and appearance that you can't get with any other suspension system. It allows you to adjust your ride height from the push of a button, gives you the most possible options for wheels, and overall just makes your car look and perform better in every aspect.

The reason that these kits are usually pretty pricey is because they have so much technology packed into them that turns your entire suspension system from just a static one-trick pony to a completely adjustable masterpiece. Most of these kits are able to adjust to the constant changes the road either using a pressure sensor or a height sensor.
Kits that feature height sensors are usually a little more expensive but are definitely worth the extra money since they're able to react to these changes much faster and provide a smoother, more responsive ride.
COILOVERS VS AIR SUSPENSION
When it comes to the install, don't cut corners. What we mean by this is that when it comes to running the wiring and the air lines, make sure you tuck them away neatly. The last thing you'd want to happen is to put all of this time and money into your air suspension just to have it look like it was slapped together because you have lines and wires all over the place.
Before you start your install, get your car on a lift and look at where you want to run the lines. Make sure they're tucked away somewhere that won't get caught on any that's laying on the road. You're also going to want to make sure there's no chance an air line will get pinched. This will make some of your air struts inflate or deflate slower and just make you have a bad time.

What you didn't know about air suspension
Technical stuff aside, the details matter when it comes to making the car look good too. Make sure you plan out where you want your air tank mounted, what kind of hardware you want to run, and how much detail you want to go into making the air setup look really good. You can definitely tell the difference between the cars that had their suspension quickly installed and those that took their time.
Pros:
Cons:
We get asked this a lot. Should you buy air suspension or wheels first? Well in our opinion, a car with stock suspension and aftermarket wheels doesn't look as good as a bagged car that still has stock wheels. In fact, some cars look absolutely bangin' slammed on the ground on their stock wheels. Plus, this would be the perfect time to take measurements so you can dial in your fitment perfectly. There's almost nothing better than a bagged car with perfect fitment.
There you have it. These are just some of the things we suggest you keep in mind when thinking about installing air suspension. This process is a little more expensive than coilovers but we'd bet you'll have way more fun and be a lot more satisfied with your build if you choose to go this route.
